so ive decided to do a project on scandinavian mythology and create pictures based on norse gods and goddesses. i love all mythology, but norse mythology really appeals to me. i like how the norse gods are destined to be defeated by the forces of choas, and have always lived with this knowledge.
In the end, it was believed, Loki and his monstrous children will burst their bonds and the dead will sail from Niflheim to attack the living. Heimdall, the watchman of the gods, will summon the gods with a blast on his horn. Then a final battle will ensue between order and chaos, which the gods will lose, and their world will be destroyed.
however the gods will come back, destory choas and a new, better world will emerge from the ashes of the old one. i like that whole phoenix re-birth idea.
